Dreams 02/01/2012
From the ages of 9 and 15 I had re-occuring dreams of seeing two suns in the sky and one in particular of a large planet merging through the clouds taking up a lot of the sky. The planet was a mixture of purpley reds, the sky was still blue and the clouds were white and vast. Everyone was looking to the sky in awe, not fear. In fact, fear is never felt in the dreams. It's weird. I was so moved and affected by these dreams at the time that I would sketch what I'd seen to show my Mum. I'd like to add that I had NEVER even heard of any of the Nibiru/2012/end of world theories. I never paid any attention at school, especially not in science. I had only just been informed about all of these things last year, and so obviously it has made me remember those dreams all those years ago (I'm now 26), and I've done a lot of research into it. I'm pretty certain that something is going to happen. I have nightmares sometimes about armageddon scenarios but I think these are normal 'fear' dreams after being given the information that I now know. I haven't had any of the 'two sun' planet dreams since I was 15, which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing. However! I hope I'm completely wrong, nothing happens and everyone calls me an idiot this time next year... I have a lot more to say but I'm gonna leave it at that for now. Ok, so I've been really distressed this past week because of the big earthquake/ tsunamis/nuclear melt down in Japan, and I've been a little weird and distant. My dreams have been horrific and vivid. I don't know what I believe is going on, whether it's simpley just inevitable and that these kinds of natural distasters have been occuring on our planet since the dawn of time (true)...or whether it's leading up to something? There are so many theories and beliefs, and I hope so badly that 21st of December 2012 (end of the mayan calendar) goes by smoothly, but the possibility of it not is FREAKING me out! If you're like me, and you're actually thinking about more than just your immediate soft cilivised bubble of a life then research - mayan calendar, 2012 theories, planet x nibiru, 2012 comet etc. I hope it's all wrong as it has been in the past, but I like to make myself...prepared for it I guess, and get my head out of the clouds. At the end of the day we live on the crust of a ball of lava orbiting a gigantic ball of fire, floating in space. Even if nothing bad happens within the next couple of years, it will happen eventually, it has in the past. Aaaaanyway, the whole point of this blog today was to take my mind off all of it! I decided today to be Fae Antoinette and do my hair and make-up :) I'm fixated on certain past eras, like the 1920s, 40s, 50s and the 1700s - specifically the Louis 15th era. My film collection consists mainly of period films and a massive chunk of my music collection seems to now be of 40s/50s/60s music. I have my favourite films, not neccessarily because they are brilliant works of art, but because they make me smile and cheer me up. The recent film 'Marie Antoinette' by Sofia Coppola is one of those. It's like a feast for my eyes! ...I didn't really like the ending though, it was a bit of let down. A few years ago I was really into the whole Dauphine/Antoinette look and I bought some really nice outfits! I still have this one in my wardrobe, it never gets worn, but I can't part with it - This one as well....it looks so much better in real life. Very pretty and detailed, and when I put a massive petticoat underneath it, it looks really authentic - Love all the furniture from the Louis 15th era as well. I have an antique pink upholstered bed, which I found on ebay last year. It's gorgeous and by the far my most favourite piece of furniture I own. Crappy mobile pic below totally doesn't do it justice! It's antique pink and cream with carved flowers and feet! Here it is - So, here is what I did to myself this morning! ... Just in case you might want to do the hair, here is how I did it (I'm not sure if it's the exact way you're supposed to, but it works for me) : I curl all of my hair in hot rollers and hair spray. Section. Starting from behind the ears and working to the back of the head hump so you've got an oval shape, section off and use a prong clip to keep out the way. Then clip the big mass of hair you're left with on top of the head with a clip. Start to pin curl the seperate curls of the back section to the back of the head. Put a second mirror behind you so you can see what you're doing and keep it neat. When you're done, hair spray it to set it. You need a hair rat or doughnut (or do what I did if you want the beehive to be bigger and stuff a wig into a hair net). Place it directly on top of the head and shape it to how you want. I shaped it rounded and tall. Bobby pin it securely to your hair. Section off the layer of hair you have going round the head in half so u have a top and bottom layer, but make sure the bottom layer isn't too thin. Back comb to death the top layer!! Hair spray. Now scoop the back combed mounds onto the rat/wignet and bobby pin in place. Nearly done! Take hold of the remaining hair and evenly distribute the hair over the beehive so it covers the tangles of the backcomb and you're left with a smooth covering of hair. Bobby pin in place towards the back of the beehive. A rat tail comb is handy for this part so u can gently scrape it over the very top of the hair to smooth and make it neat, with the spike of the comb u can carefully fit it through the top layer of the beehive and pull outwards to give a bit more volume and even out the shape. But DON'T pull too hard, as you might pull out some of the hair. Hair spray! Behind each ear pull out a pin curl so you have one curl hanging down on each side. Lastly - hair spray to get rid of fly aways. Neaten out any loose ends. Add some flowers :) The make-up was really simple! So all I have on is some brown matte eyeshadow, I used coffee bean by 'Maxfactor'. I also used this on my eyebrows. Just sweep a light layer across the socket crease and blend well. Shape the eyebrows with a thin eyeliner brush. For the foundation I used Siberia by 'Nars', with a little bit of white face paint using a foundation brush. The blusher was Orgasm by 'Nars'. Apply this with a blush brush onto the apples of your cheeks. To finish - the lips were Scarlet by 'Chanel' mixed with Girl about Town by 'Mac'. Using a lip brush I shaped the lips into small pouts but slightly less exagerated than the usual style. Hope you like it :) xx <3 Corset whore 02/14/2011
I LOVE corsets. I am a corset whore. Corsets (and heels) are my favouritest things. So this blog entry is dedicated to corsets and fabulous heels. I wear an 18 inch corset, this is me last week wearing my Vollers corset... Corset modelling pics (I have more, but I'm not allowed to show them because of copyright issues) ... This year I'm gonna be shooting for a few corset companies, 'Morgana Femme Couture' and 'Misty Couture' are definites. I love both of these companies and have been a fan of MFC for years now. So, to model for them is Awesome. Yay! I own about 32 corsets, N I hate to part with them, but often sell them to make way for a newer one. Over the past coupla years I've waist trained myself to fit into an 18 inch corset. I wouldn't go as far to say it is comfortable but I'm workin on it ;) I think I must have playdough for insides. My waist tends to mould pretty well. I'm naturally 23 inches and so wearing a 20 inch corset doesn't quite satisfy my eye...it doesn't give enough of a dramatic look. I've always loved the definition and hourglass shape that corsets create. And the hourglass is my favourite corset shape, the more extreme the better. The 'Morticia' corset by 'What Katie Did' is a great example: http://www.elegantlacing.co.uk/catalog/images/Morticia-Claret.jpg I wish I could get away with wearing them everyday and wonder what it would've been like to do so years ago. I bet they were fed up with it actually... So, I definitely have a corset fetish. It is a fairly common fetish. But I cant help being common!! Heels! I have actually grown up wearing heels everyday...so unfortunately have moulded my feet to only feel comfortable in heels :/ Though it does mean I have a high arch, which is quite nice. 6 months ago I owned about 60 pairs of heels and 1 pair of converse. So, I realised that this was pretty silly as I hardly ever wore them and ended up selling most of them and keeping my favourites. Here are some pretty shoe pics :) ... Favourite designers/companies at the moment are Natacha Marro and Kurt Geiger. Wish list: If anyone feels generous?? Hint hint. I'd model in them however you like and whatever theme (within reason, no fanny or nipple shots though). Treat me gently I'm a virgin 02/14/2011
I wanted to blog about the shoot I had last Friday (11th Feb 2011). It was for the gorgeous London designed lingerie brand, 'Playful Promises' - http://www.playfulpromises.com/ and also an awesome new latex designer 'Pandora latex' - http://www.pandoradeluxe.com/ The photographer was the very talented Nathan S Atia http://www.nathenatia.com/ Playful Promises owner and designer Emma Parker styled the shoot. and lovely Cheyenne Raymond did the make-up and hair http://www.cheyenneraymond.com%20/ All lovely people and it was great to meet all of them :) I LOVED the shop. I was in my element :P shoes, corsets and vintage underwear. I was dressed up like a doll. A little virginal porcelain doll....don't laugh, I can pretend! I tend to look about 16 at the best of times, so being dressed up a like a doll, I possibly could've passed for 14. It's not wrong! It's ok! Cos I'm not really :D...haha, you hope. Anyway, dressed up in inappropriate doll attire - various combinations of stunning Playful Promises lingerie, 'What Katie Did' corsets,' Bordello' heels, latex and seamed stockings - I went onto making out with a mannequin called Rita Hayworth and straddling Saint Bernadette. Standard procedure. The pictures will all be published in the Playful Promises online magazine in April, so I'll keep you posted on Twitter and my Facebook page when they are live, so follow me on both... Here are a couple of teaser 'behind the scenes' pics, taken from mobiles :) Publication catch up 02/14/2011
I have two scanners, both which are useless because neither of them actually work! So, after much frustration I've decided to just take photos of my favourite publications and proofs over the past months on my mobile, until I can replace them with professional scans. More to come in the next few months :) Here'ya (earliest first) - An old blog, but still just as relevant :) 01/31/2011
I wrote this blog on my deviantart account (www.modelfaye.deviantart.com) last year after shooting for Bizarre mag in August. Thought I'd add it to my website blog now that I've finally gotten started with this :) Here ya go - Dated : Thu Aug 26, 2010, 3:42 AM Ok, so having to keep it quiet for what seemed like an eternity, the cover preview of the latest Bizarre has finally been revealed. As you can see from my latest Deviation, I'm only on the bloody cover!!! Myself and Vivi Sterling joint won the 2010 Bizarre's search for a cover star competition. I entered it on the off chance last year, never thinking I'd actually be considered or go through to the finals, let alone win the damn thing! So, I was totally shocked when I got a call from Dave Kelsall (the guy in charge of the cover arrangements)asking me if I'd be free for a shoot in London's Holborn studios. It was surreal and the most substantial turning point in my modeling career so far! I felt truely blessed and it made me feel like all my efforts over the past 4 years had finally paid off. The stylist for the day was Nina Kate of Jane Doe latex - www.janedoelatex.com and it was an honour to meet her and work with her. I admire her very much! She's like superwoman, she runs a very successful latex couture business whilst juggling a 2nd job (which takes her overseas), works alongside bizarre with cover shoots, she models, AND manages to keep a very happy, strong marriage going. The make-up artist and hair stylist was Johanna Dalemo, who was fantastic and did a great job with my eye make-up. I'm usually a bit fussy with it but I had no complaints with her work. She's a true talent and she loves MAC, so you can't go wrong! She brought her gorgeous little chihuahua 'foxy' with her. Everyone loves Foxy, she stole the show! The photographer was Bronk Landers, who photographs for all the top leading men's magazine - fhm, front, nuts etc. I loved working with him, he's so enthusiastic and takes the most intense, incredible pictures (before any editing has been done!). I would recommend him to anyone, and even though I haven't seen the pics inside the mag yet, I have no doubt that they'll be the best ever. It was lovely to finally meet Vivi as well. She was fuckin funny and random, which I love. Great hair, great face, great legs. Her accent was awesome, pure texan american with a little scottish twang every now n then. She's from texas, but moved to Scotland to be with her husband, which explains the twang. I didn't realise just how tiny she was until I met her either! She's a tiny bundle of gorgeous, but all the best things come in small packages, and I was happy to have a fellow 'small' to play with. It was great to finally meet Dave Kelsall too...but I wont say too much about him as I'd imagine he wants to keep his identity on the low. You might recognise him popping up in the mag every now n then as the man in the grotty, old looking gorilla suit. I will say though that he's a star to work with and I am indebted to him for choosing me. Thank you thank you thank you Dave! Also, a final big thank you to everyone else involved, helping and assisting! It was amazing to work with you all! I won't forget any of you Fae xxxx | AuthorWrite something about yourself.
